CNET News.com reported on Tuesday that the CEO, at least six other executives and three members of the board of directors have left SpiralFrog, which is developing an ad-supported, free music download service.
Three former SpiralFrog executives told News.com that CEO Robin Kent, who before joining SpiralFrog was head of ad agency Universal McCann, was ousted from the company during a recent board meeting.
Following Kent's ouster, "three directors with strong music-industry ties resigned almost immediately," News.com reported, and were followed by executives including the company's heads of marketing, strategy and operations.
